You missed my point. Doesn't matter if you or I or anyone else agrees or disagrees with it. It's about free speech. I have some options that are way the hell out there about things *cough*death of microsoft*cough* and I get looked like I'm insane all the time. He's free to say what he likes and we are free to put him in a killfile if we so choose but to say that he can't say what he wants smacks in the face of the Constitution. I don't personally agree with his statement but he can say WTF he wants and I can take it or leave it.
Ben, Actually, I didn't miss your point at all. I knew exactly what you were getting at, and I agree to a point. I had to try hard to not bring up the First Amendment (aka Freedom of Speech) when wording my note. While I support the First Amendment, no where in the amendment does it indicate that the amendment can be used as a "catch all" for allowing people to make whatever rediculous statement they want. There are times when it just doesn't apply. For example, statements regarding bringing harm to any person or persons - especially a certain high ranking US official - are always investigated. The people making those statements are typically detained for at least some amount of time. Truth is you can say what you want, but you still have to suffer the concequencies if you say something really stupid. Personally, I thought the sig in question was one of those statements. -- John LeMay KC2KTH Senior Enterprise Consultant NJMC | http://www.njmc.com | Phone 732-557-4848 Specializing in Microsoft and Unix based solutions
