Ok, I have 2 issues. The first is interesting. I've always had problems getting USB working properly with SuSE 8.1, on two different hardware systems. The first is a Supermicro dual pentium III capable system, with one PIII 650. The other is a more recent MIS motherboard with AMD Athlon 1200 chip. The interesting part is this: since I have a removable hard drive slot, on the AMD system and have loaded Mandrake 9.0 on another hard drive, and it saw the USB ports right away and the Handspring USB cradle without a problem and configured the cradle for use. On the Supermicro system, which also has removable hard drives, I loaded a drive with Windows XP Pro (just for testing and familiarity purposes) and the USB works beautifully there. SuSE won't give me support, it's outside of their support guidelines. Anyone have any tips on this? The second problem has to do with upgrading the KDE 3.0 to KDE 3.1 from links on the SuSE site. Using the YaST Online Update doesn't update the KDE to 3.1, and when I download the RPMs, and try to install them, I get all kinds of dependency problems. I'd just like to know the proper order to install the RPM updates. Any help on this is appreciated. Mark
