I was installing some new TrueType fonts and following the SuSE Reference Manual instructions when suddenly every font in KDE is now VERY ugly. The TrueType fonts are available in X and display very well in Gnome. However, even the non-Truetype fonts are ugly in KDE. Has anyone seen this before? I have tried the qtconfig utility but every font chosen displays in ugly format regardless of the anti-alias setting. I have tried the various utilities for rebuilding the Xft cache and creating the fonts. files but nothing seems to phase KDE. If you have some ideas, I could sure use em. Jerry
