series to do 3d on an ati radeon 7500.
This series of kernels is only available (for SuSE) in mantel's "testing" series. Which, being unofficial, is not supported yet by Netraverse
You can use 2.4.19, but need to recomile the dri modules for the kernel, the information for this can be found in the README for SuSE's xfree rpm's.
I followed the readme instructions pretty closely, guess I'll try again. I did have 1 error appear at the line "install -m 644 -o root -g root gamma.o i810.o i830.o mga.o r128.o radeon.o tdfx.o /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/char/drm" it appears that gamma.o is not being created / can't be copied. I don't know if this is causing my problem but its kind of frustrating going from a reasonably well working system to one that runs gears at 64fps!!! So off I go to try again. see ya -- dh Don't shop at GoogleGear.com!
