I have a Dell Inspiron c610 laptop with SuSE 8.1 installed. The installation was performed with the laptop out of the docking station, so by default the eth0 network device is the built-in 10/100 port of the laptop. There is also a built-in 10/100 port in the docking station, set as eth1. When I have the network cable connected to eth0, I get a DHCP address and routing and DNS are setup correctly, and I can resolve host names, etc. When I have the network cable connected to eth1, I get a DHCP address, but routing is not completely set up, and host names can't be resolved, although I can access them if I manually insert a route to outside networks in the route table, and use their IP address. Is there a trick to get the laptop to use either eth1 or eth0 correctly? Thanks, -ronc
