Is there a loopback driver that can support large compressed filesystems? (i.e. 200 Gig IDE.) I currently have 2 disks. I use one for backup only so I'm not too concerned about access speed. (i.e. 10x slower should be fine). Currently, I create .tgz files with thousands of files internally on the backup drive, but when I want to do a restore, it can take a very long time to extract a file. (i.e. hours) I came across rdiff-backup which looks like a good tool for eliminating the speed issue, but it does not support compressed backups from what I see. Thanks Greg Freemyer
