I've searched archives etc. but found no mention of this.
Does anyone know of a zip-like program with a GUI interface which can seamlessly handle file encryption? Under W*nd*ws, I used Winzip a lot, not so much for it's compression, but because it was about the only method I could find of getting files encrypted. I know this functionality exists in the Infozip programs, but these have no GUI, and the compression and encryption methods are, I think, considered quite weak these days.
So I'm looking for a Linux replacement with modern methods. I may consider writing one if there's nothing around. Anyone have any interest in such a product?
