Are the clients configured with static IPs? If so, add the routing config to the YaST2 network setup. If they're on dhcp, let the dhcp server send the default gateway ("option routers" in dhcp.conf) It doesn't work with or without a reboot. I can't ping
anything on the 192.168.1.x network from the client. Only from the server.
Right, see my other mail. I didn't realize you were using the "Server" as a middle-man between the clients and the gateway until after I sent the first mail. You need to set the server up as a router if the clients are to be able to connect to the internet directly. Then set the server as default gateway in the clients' network setup. You don't need to add a specific route for 192.168.1.0/24 on the clients. If fact you shouldn't. That's only if they're directly connected to the same LAN. Sorry about that, my misunderstanding.
