hey all, i was doing some stuff logged in and i wanted to log in as root to check mail and whatever
You don't need to do this - use su - and then type 'mail' - you then can read all root's juicy gossip without logging into kde as root. Much safer. HTH Fergus
so i select start new session, then i log in as root (usinf SuSe Linux 8.1 professional and KDE 3) and i logged in and checked mail for root, then, i clicked log out and logged out...now, when i logged out itt brought me back to my session i already had going as it shouldv, but when i pop up the Konsole and type "w" it says just me is logged in, but if i type "who" it says me and root are logged in.....im lost, why is it still showing up as root being logged in when i logged out?, i even tried logging completly out of every account (logged out of the account i was using which was the only one and then logged back in) and its still showing it, i have no idea why and im like....stuck as to why it did this, any ideas? -- Kill the lights, let the candles burn behind the pumpkins’ mischievous grins, And let the skeletons dance.
