driver disk. I've got the new module which I compiled on a IDE x86 system in two locations on the driver disk.
/lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/modules/megaraid.o
and
/linux/suse/i386-8.0/modules/megaraid.o /linux/suse/i686-8.0/modules/megaraid.o [SNiP] Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Paul, I have been chatting to you on the megaraid mailing list about this issue also. I understood that to make a boot disk you had to make the directory structure on the disk had to be like this : /linux/suse/i386-8.0/install /linux/suse/i386-8.0/modules Then you would put an archive called update.tar.gz (for YaST2) and update.tgz (for YaST1) inside modules that contained this directory structure, and kernel driver : lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/scsi/megaraid.o So my understanding is a little different to yours. ....but it doesn't work for me either!
