Greetings!
I'm using Suse 8.1.
While installing MySQL I created a user called mysql. The problem is now a /home/mysql entry exists and mysql has the ability to login.
Can I just use /bin/false as the home directory for this type of user?
SuSE's owm MySQL uses /bin/false as the shell, which should do the trick. Also put an x as the password in /etc/passwd and * as the password in /etc/shadow. The home directory in SuSE's package is (with 8.0) /var/lib/mysql Regards Ole
