Does netzero create a DUN connection in windows ? If so it would be possible to easily recreate whatever suger the add app may create. Caleb On Tue, 2002-12-17 at 15:47, JW wrote:

Hey,
I'm trying to fiugr eout (for a friend) if NetZero, a free "Windows" ISP, can be used in Linx or not.
In WIndows it has an invasive advertizement program that dials up for you. Back in the days when I used kppp I sucessfully used several freee "Windows-only" ISPs on Linux by tweaking the settings. One major one was PAP vs. CHAP authentication. I Can't see how to set CHAP/PAP explicitly in 8.0's system though. In YaST I can't even find the Providers section today. As far as the providers file (I have a working file for Earthlink) it doens't contain anything about authentication methods.
Does anyone have a clue what I can do to get this working?
Logs from an attempted session are shown below.
Thanks.
