Greetings all I have a problem looming.. I have 3 Windows boxes (2Win 98SE and a Win 2k pro) behind a SuSE 7.1 box that is doing NAT/Firewall duty for them. The firewall script is a custom made ipchains script. Currently the SuSE box (eth0) had a static networked address of 10.10.x.x and the 3 Windodws boxes (connected to the SuSE box through eth1) have static addresses in the range of 198.162.0.2 through 198.162.0.4. Now my ISP says that I must connect to the net using DHCP. This is fine in theory, but I have no experience setting up a DHCP system. From my readings so far it seems easy to initially set up a DHCP client to my ISP, but I would also like to set the SuSE box up to do DHCP/Nat/Firewall for the Win boxes as well. I understand that when I set up the SuSE box as a DHCP server for the Win boxes I should be able to specify the 192.168.0.0/16 IP address set for the Win boxes to use to connect to the net through the SuSE server. Is it simple to do this as well? What is the procedure for changing everything from static IP to DHCP? Is there any doc's I can look at to get more info? I have read nice large green book that came in the box that 7.1 came in and found it to be disturbingly lacking in info for making this kind of change. TIA Doug
