Did /dev/hdc4 /mnt and did the chmod 755, tried chown but still no conf.d and the other missing parts. The only thing I got was. "getting attributes of 'conf.d'
: Permission denied" REPLY: Constant, if you go back to rescue mode and you do an ls -l of /sbin can you send the output please...
If you were able to change the directory permission attributes then there is hope.
