Hi, I'm suprised that no one else has posted this (forgive me if someone has, but I don't see any posts for it). Having bought SuSE 8.0 just a few months ago I didn't want to fork over another $80 for 8.1, so I did the FTP install of 8.1. It worked just fine, but swap fails to initialize at boot. It isn't that big of a deal since this system has 1GB of RAM, but at times I do max it out. The 'swapon' command doesn't work either: [nickw@gizmo] ~ > sudo /sbin/swapon /dev/sda2 swapon: /dev/sda2: Invalid argument [nickw@gizmo] ~ > cat /etc/fstab | grep swap /dev/sda2 swap swap pri=42 0 0 Fdisk: Disk /dev/sda: 64 heads, 32 sectors, 17537 cylinders Units = cylinders of 2048 * 512 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 * 1 65 66544 83 Linux /dev/sda2 66 1294 1258496 82 Linux swap /dev/sda3 1295 1772 489472 8e Linux LVM /dev/sda4 1773 17537 16143360 5 Extended /dev/sda5 6894 12014 5243888 8e Linux LVM /dev/sda6 12015 17537 5655536 8e Linux LVM /dev/sda7 1773 6893 5243872 8e Linux LVM Any help would be greatly appreciated.
