Hello, At least with my MD recorder (Sony MZ-R700), it doesn't see the MD as another drive. It will see the Xitel DG-2 USB adapter as another sound card, but only under OSS for now as USB-Audio at /dev/audio. ALSA has support for this in CVS or more recent rc builds, but I don't think it's made it into any version of SuSE yet (not even 8.1 but I could be wrong). So, to record music, I use XMMS and change my output plugin to the OSS driver and manually select my output device as /dev/audio and the mixer as /dev/mixer. You can usually setup the MD recorder to digital sync, so it will start recording as soon as it detects music. Hope this is helpful. - Greg On Tue, 2002-10-29 at 11:24, Baris Erbas wrote:
Hi everybody, I would like to use my md player in linux and record my music to MD player via usb connection. When I check from KDE control center I can see that Suse recognized the device(since I see the model of my md player). I cannot find the mount point of my device. Anybody can tell me how to mount this device and record .mp3 or wav files onto it? cheers
