To all SuSe gurus, I am trying to compile Mozilla from source using the instructions from http://www.linux-sxs.org/mozilla.html (which were very helpful ). I'm using SuSE8 and have installed the versions of libjpeg, libz/zlib, libmng, gtk, gt, gpp, qt3, qt3-devel using apt-get. The installation of qt3 and qt3-devel solved one compiling error but I still get the following error message. .... checking for gtk-config... no checking for GTK - version >= 1.2.0... no *** The gtk-config script installed by GTK could not be found. *** If GTK was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in *** your path, or set the GTK_CONFIG environment variable to the *** full path to gtk-config. *** GTK+ is available from ftp://ftp.gtk.org/pub/gtk configure: error: Test for GTK failed. .... My problem, as I understand it, is that when I go to compile the source version of mozilla it's finding the wrong GTK libraries. I was hoping someone could help me out. I looked at the GTK+ from ftp://ftp.gtk.org/pub/gtk but I will add to install another of other dependant packages in order to install it. Do I really need to do all that...?
