Hello list I just installed SuSE 8.1 yesterday (my first SuSE...), and I am rather impressed with the system so far! I have installed the "standard" truetype fonts from MS (arial, Times New Roman, etc.) using the KDE Font Installer as root, run "SuSEconfig .module fonts", restarted X, and the fonts are available, nicely antialiased to KDE programs and OpenOffice (and probably others). The problem is with national characters using the wrong letters - but only in _some_ of the fonts (strange!). E.g. "æøå" are the three last Danish letters in the alphabet. Using Arial only "å" is right, but using e.g. Comic Sans MS it looks fine. What did I do wrong when I installed these fonts?!?
