You could check whether Adobe sells Acrobat _Writer_ for linux. Otherwise, you could convert the pdf to postscript with pdf2ps, then use psselect, and finally ps2pdf. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson The 02.10.09 at 01:32, Maura Edelweiss Monville wrote:

To: "suse-linux-e@suse.com" Subject: [SLE] Splitting "pdf" files By ACrobar WRiter running on Windows it's possible to cut & paste pages from/to a "pfd" file. The result is still a regular "pdf" file.
Acrobat Reader on SuSE does not have such editing features. As I needed to extract a piece of a big "pdf" file (just a few pages in the middle and the the last two bottom pages") I created 2 "pdf" files where I stored the extrated pages only. The problem then is how to "cat" such pages into one "pdf" file only. I tried by using the Unix "cat" command and came up with a file that Acrobat Reader does not recognize as a "pdf" one....
Is there a way to edit a "pdf" file with SuSE ???
Thank you. MEM
