Yesterday I wrote inquiring how it might be that I could change the appearance of the environment in which SuSE loads. I've not had a reply and had begun to think that perhaps I'd inadvertently signed on to the Arch Linux, or some other such, mailing list and not SuSE's. Anyway, at the moment, I witness the loading items scroll by in a small box within the default SuSE, green background. With my previous version of SuSE, after the initial SuSE splash screen would time down, the items loading would scroll white on a plain black background until the X-Window was reached. I'd like to return to that style. How might that change be accomplished? What adjustments would need to be made? John Lowell
