Hi, after installing vanilla SuSE 8.0 on a PC (AMD1200, ASUS A7V-KT133 with Promise PCI-controller, Compex ethernet NIC(realtek 8139)) I've some network problems: eth0 is connected to a cable modem (Terayon) and get info about IP, DNS etc. via DHCP. This works. When I ssh from another PC to this PC I can give one command before the connection brakes down. Same with www-surfing with Konqueror, one time and then it's over. /var/log/messages reads as follows : Sep 7 09:49:40 linux kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out Sep 7 09:49:40 linux kernel: eth0: Tx queue start entry 5 dirty entry 1. Time out settings or is the NIC broken ? -- Erik I heard if you play the XP CD backwards, you get a satanic message. That's nothing, if you play it forward, it installs Windows XP.
