Dear Phoenix I have used KIT sucessfully. Netscape 7.0 d/l from Netscape has a full-fledged AIM client, with all the features of Win AIM. PeterB On Sunday 01 September 2002 15:32, Phoenix wrote:
Hi everyone!
I want to use the ICQ and AIM messenging services. For ICQ I'm using KXicq2 but the features are relatively limited. For AIM I haven't found anything great yet. I tried using "kaim" and "gaim".
Kaim doesn't work. If I start it from a shell it tells me this: Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". Then the logon window pops up and as soon as I try to log on it just quits and says: Segmentation fault.
Gaim seems to run, but it doesn't download my AIM buddy list from the server. Do I have to change some settings so that it downloads the buddy list? Or does it just not support this feature?
Are there any other/better programs to use?

Phoenix
