No error messsage. Simply there is no access to other services (RealAudio, Gaim, Chat, etc.). Only Squid works as before (as it always did). As I understand it, that combination of IPChains rules should grant my users "transparent" access to that other services of Internet. That is, IRC, for instance, should be masqueraded. But when I declare in the apps that there is no proxy, they can not find the right way. When I try to declare that there is a proxy (192.168.0.1) and the port is, say, 6667, they can not make connections. In addition I put a "1" in the file /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward in order to force the situation. But no success.:-(( -- MSc.
