If after that you still get a blank X type Screen.. you proboblly need to edit on file... run suseconfig, and then restart your x session.
The file you would need to modify is:
/etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config
The last line.. or one of the last lines proboblly look like this: !DisplayManager._0.terminateServer: true you need to remvoe the !, save the file. run suseconfig.. and then restart your xserver... init 3 then init 5
If you're using kdm3, Xdmcp is configured from /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc.
