I have 2 desktop computers and 1 laptop connected using a Netgear RT338 ISDN Router which has DHCP server. I can get to the internet with no problems, have an ethernet printserver that is working. 1 computer has only SuSE 8.0, 1 has Win2k dual boot with SuSE 8.0 (soon to be SuSE 8.0 only) and the laptop which I take to work has Win2k and SuSE 8.0. I cannot get them to talk to each other. I would prefer not to run DNS as I don't want to leave one computer on all the time. Is it possible to setup so I can have the computers talk to each other without DNS and if so, how would one go about doing this? All computers are running samba client. BTW, one of the computers is a Wal-Mart PC from Microtel that started out in life with Mandrake 8.2. Got lost with Mandrake more so than with SuSE, so installed Suse 8.0 on it. Art
