Hello,
My wife scanned a bunch of images to a format .mix and I can view it under kde's file manager, but I would like to convert the images to something more browser friendly.
I've tried to do a google search on mix and scangear (which is the program I think she used, not sure) and also xv, but nothing mentioned the image formats that these programs use.
Any help/info would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Hi Jonathan, There is a command line tool named convert, which IIRC belongs to the image magick package. I did one thing: # convert picture.gif picture.mix It worked and the 'mix' picture could be viewed. So maybe you could try to do: # convert picture.mix picture.jpg Check it out and let's see what happens! Cheers .... Wolfi ============================================= mailto:wolfi_z@gmx.net
