Interesting problem I can't seem to figure out with sendmail Dsl through a broadband router and a dyndns.org domain. Dyndns.org is configured to accept wildcards so anything.mydomain.dyndns.org resolves to the router so mail, www, news, blaa, fred, smith , .mydomain.dyndns.org all resolve out to point to my ip address ok.. Ports forwarded all fine I can send mail in from outside no problems at all. The problem I have is now in this new configuration (suse 8.0) sendmail has a client process to handle local mail. Any mail created on my machine queues up with errors, timeout connecting to localhost.mydomain.dyndns.org because of course that resolves out to the router. I'm trying to figure out how to get the sendmail-client process to only send to localhost (not fqdn) or even an ip address but have no idea where to locate this.. Anyone have any ideas?? Did I explain it well enough ? Andrew
