Hi All, I got a wierd problem on my SuSE 7.3 system at work. Trying to write to a floppy (using tar, mkfs) I get: tar: /dev/fd0: Cannot open: Read-only file system tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now The floppy is not write protected, I checked the BIOS to make sure it was write-able from there, I am doing this as root and the permissions are 666. The really wierd thing is that it worked once today and then stopped. I tried rebooting, even into run-level 1, but I still get the error. The only thing that really makes sense is a hardware problem as the software side **seems** to be fine. Any help is greatly appreaciated.
