Our company is considering deploying Linux workstations for a number of customer service representatives, but we have run into a snag.
We are unable to find a suitable terminal emulation program that allows for proper rendition of color, boldface, arrow-keys, function keys, etc., in a connection to a server that runs software using SCO-ANSI and WYSE60 emulation.
We have tried wy60 (freeware) and Century Software's TERM:UNIX/Linux - neither of provide for all of the above.
If anyone knows of a good solution, please let me know! Thanks in advance.
Do it the unix way :-) Open up an X-Term ( xterm, NOT konsole ) Do: export TERM=wyse60 ( you can replace the wyse60 with any of: wyse60 wyse60-316X wyse60-43 wyse60-PC wyse60-wvb wyse60-25 wyse60-42 wyse60-43-w wyse60-vb wyse60-25-w wyse60-42-w wyse60-AT wyse60-w ) rlogin/telnet/ssh into the SCO machine, and run your app. Ought to work :-) -tosi
