Hello everyone, I have a perculiar problem with kinternet / wvdial. SuSE 8.0 with updates from PRO-OFFICE CD. External ISDN TA on /dev/ttyS0. wvdial (configured with yast2 works just fine. kinternet does not want to know. /etc/wvdial.conf : [Dialer modem0] Baud= 115200 Dial Command= ATD Dial Prefix= Init1= ATZ Init2= AT&F0 Init3= Init8= Init9= Modem= /dev/ttyS0 PPPD Option= YaST2 Record= modem /var/log/messages (after trying kinternet) : Jul 27 15:41:18 linux wvdial[3355]: WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.42 Jul 27 15:41:18 linux wvdial[3355]: Initializing modem. The "correct" init strings sent by wvdial are completely different to those sent by kinternet. Would someone please tell me where kinternet is "finding" these values, they are not found in /etc/sysconfig/network/providers/<provider> or any other place that I know of looking.
