Hey,
I cannot get KsCD to play music cd's, it appears that it doesn't even recognize them. Any helps would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JR
Jim, I had the same problem using a burner and with the help of the wonderful folks on the SuSE list learned to use the following instructions to get my music CDs to play using KsCD. Go to: dev/cdrom and see where that link is pointing. When you put your mouse over the link icon (dev/cdrom) then at the bottom of the konqueror screen you should see: cdrom->/dev/sr0 If you don't see that (e.g.: instead it says cdrom->/dev/(something else) then delete that link and replace it with one that does end up pointing /dev/sr0 The command I used to create the new link is: ln -s /dev/sr0 /dev/cdrom (Note: that's "small el, small n" not "capitial eye, small n" Now, a final word of warning... This worked for me using a CD burner. I assume (which my be wrong) that the solution for a straight CD is the same. Hope this helps. Gil
