Right-click in an open space in the control panel, a small menu will pop-up, click on "preferences", this will get you an options screen.
----------snip--------------- I tried your suggestion and it does make it easier to find lost windows. What I really want though is for a newly opened window to open on the desktop I'm viewing (the active one) ---------------Original post included below--------- When you open a window (using kde2.2.2) there is an icon in the upper left corner. If you left click on this icon it offers some functions. One of these functions is "Store Settings" I thought to myself "Aha I'd like to use this, I can save my window positions w/ this feature!" Sure enough thats' what happened. Unfortunately the windows also open on the same desktop that the settings were saved on. This makes me less happy as now I have to search all of my desktops after opening the application in order to find it. Quite inconvenient. The $64,000 question! How can I undo these settings. Does anyone know where these settings are stored? Thanks -- dh
