Well, I checked my links last night, and here they are: cdrecorder -> /dev/sr1 cdrom -> /dev/sr0 dvd -> /dev/hdd I did not set the dvd link, it was already there. Yast2 still wants to install from the DVD. Even though this works fine, it's frustrating because when I first installed 8.0 on this new machine I wanted to use the DVD, but it would not boot from the DVD. Not sure what to try next.... Check the links in /dev. Enabling ide-scsi emulation to one of these devices after installation may have resulted in the links being "incorrect".
