Due to space I set up 8.0 again on my laptop. Now I have a question about how to get procmail working. Previously I had sendmail installed, and on the current install I gave postfix a shot. All my procmail setup is the same, yet nothing is delivered ? I read that a .forward may fix the issue. What is the format for such ?

No reason to do that.

Search for

#mailbox_command = /some/where/procmail

And change it to your path to procmail, which is /usr/bin/procmail unless you changes the procmail installation.

Forgot to mention; you've to search for the above in your /etc/postfix/main.cf
