If you run oaf-slay then try Evolution again does that sort it? Bonobo/ConfigDatabase is an OAF service, so you can't just copy files that relate to it into place while OAF is running. Oh, and wombat is also an OAF service, not the name of a machine.
Help! I've lost my Evolution... It always worked perfectly fine but now attempt to start it produces a message: "cannot initialize the Ximian evolution shell:Configuration Database not found" (in fact I also get this message when I start my KDE session). And when I try to start Evolution from the Konsole I get this message: "evolution-shell-WARNING **: Cannot access Bonobo/ConfigDatabase on wombat: (IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0) -- James Ogley, Unix Systems Administrator, Pinnacle Insurance Plc james.ogley@pinnacle.co.uk www.pinnacle.co.uk +44 (0) 20 8731 3619 Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.0) Updated GNOME RPMs for SuSE Linux: www.usr-local-bin.org
