Hello SuSE folkz,
Does somebody know any method/utility to convert scanned text into editable text file in Linux. I know such software exists in Winblows world e.g. TextBridge. Do we have something similar or better in Linux?
There are some Optical Character Recognition programs in Linux, but they really don't work very well. The problem is in matching the fonts, so you end up retyping most of the document anyways, trying to correct the OCR errors. -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
