Does someone know the reason about the versions mismatch? Was it intentional?
UP and SMP kernels differ only in a few options but we can't easily put multiple configs in one source tar ball. So the sources come with the UP config and the binary kernel RPMs contain matching configs/headers. As you're running a SuSE kernel, simply either copy the correct config from /boot (installed by the SMP kernel) or do a 'make cloneconfig' followed by a 'make dep'. Both will configure the kernel sources to match your running kernel. Hmmm, maybe we should put the above in README? Philipp
