It has been reported before by others as well. Just continue using apt from the command line (apt-get update, apt-get upgrade, etc). After sometime synaptic will be working again. Don't why this happens though Op zondag 14 juli 2002 08:52, schreef Salman Khilji:
I downloaded and installed the apt tool and synaptic. I used synaptic to upgrade to KDE 3.0.2.
After upgrading I rebooted and now when I try to run synpatic again, it hangs up at the stage where it says "Building dependency tree . . ."
Anyone else encountered this?
