Well, modem configuration in Linux strikes back :)
I have a 5634PCV modem in PCI slot 3 in my PC.
After playing with setserial several times, and reading the MODEM Howto, I found this using "lspci -vv" command:
2:0b.0 Communication controller: TOPIC SEMICONDUCTOR Corp: Unknown device 0000 Subsystem: TOPIC SEMICONDUCTOR Corp: Unknown device 0000 Control: I/O- Mem- BusMaster- SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap- 66Mhz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort-
It seems form some reason the I/O port is disabled.
How do I enable it? or should I use "setpci" command to change it and how?
Thanks in advance
