*gasp* I need to reinstall Windows XP on my dual boot system (XP, Suse 8.0 Pro). Please no flames, I need the best of both worlds.

After I reinstall Windows XP I know Microsoft will hose my MBR. Can I back this up easily and restore it after I install XP easily without headaches, or will I have to re run lilo for some reason?

Can anyone suggest an easy MBR backup util? Thanks!

Use YaST to install LILO on a diskett, install XP, start SuSE with that disk you made, and install LILO in mbr again. Gunnar --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.372 / Virus Database: 207 - Release Date: 20.06.2002
