On Wed, 19 Jun 2002, Alberto just had to get this off his chest:
Hi all. I have to make certain that php3 or php4 runs on a server withSuSE 7.0, in order to use WebChat. I have installed WebChat and php4 on my workstation (SuSE 7.3), so I know it works. My problem is with *that* server. Using Yast2 I installed the module php, and later I went to httpd.conf to add/uncomment: DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
The fact is, I can not make php run. The tests files test.php & company are not even taken into serious consideration by the browser...;-(( What can I do? Which is the correct procedure to do that? TIA,
Have a look in /etc/rc.config.d/apache.rc.config # enable the PHP module (yes|no) # HTTPD_SEC_MOD_PHP=yes Then run /sbin/SuSEconfig and restart apache Theo -- Theo v. Werkhoven ICBM 52 8 24N , 4 32 40E. S.u.S.E 7.3 x86 Kernel 2.4.16-4GB See headers for PGP/GPG info.
