I have suse 7.2, and trying to install X11/kde makes me hate linux. So, maybe someone can tell me how to install X11/KDE on a box that I had previously installed with out any X. I have installed just about everything I can think ofm and it still craps out about libGL.so.1 and I can't find anything about it. This has to be the worst package to install, I have installed so many little packages to get it even to this, and I am hating it. Why does there have to be 30 different packages for 2 packages? (x11 and KDE = no need to be more than 2 other than linux programmers having their head up there asses) I have been using linux for quite some time, and have always hated x, how it works, how many different peices it is, how slow and buggy, and not to mention, how messy it is. But I'm trying to deal with it since OS/2 and beos are dead, and I hate ms software. So from step 1, to the end, what does one need to do to install X11/KDE (and bb would be nice too) and how would one upgrade? And where do I go from where I am at?
