Hi,
This is a *newbie* question. I've been able to install 7ES on Dell workstations as well as HP servers with HP RAID controllers without any issues. When it comes to installing on Dell servers, it has problems with the RAID controller. RedHat installs without a hitch on these same boxes, but I'm really interested in getting SuSe installed. I get the "No disks" message during installation.
I've done some searching through the archives and tried to manually load the module, but maybe I'm doing it wrong. Does anyone have suggestions, input or direction ?
I've had great success in getting our enterprise applications (Oracle, TSM, etc) running on SuSe as opposed to the headaches with RedHat.
thanks, mark
I can't remember where I found it, probably on this list but I had the same problem on a 2400 and SuSE 8.0. The solution was to choose Manual Installation, load additional modules, load the aacraid module first. I'm sure something similar will work for you.
