Thought I would let the list know that I have succeeded in getting a fairly large number of non-supported Win apps installed with Crossover Office, but am still working on confirming whether they will work as designed in real use: 1) Palm Desktop 3.1 (serial cable). Have yet to try a Hotsync to my Handspring Visor Platinum. 2) Web Confidential http://www.web-confidential.com Password, credit card, etc. software using Blowfish encryption. Palm conduit available. Nothing like it in Linux. 3) BackupBuddy Backup software for Palm devices (sorry no URL). Includes module for new Palm memory standard, but also works as an upgrade with add-on modules for Handspring. 4) SyncBuddy "ditto" as above. 5) Rosetta Stone Language learning software used by NASA and many others like the US State Department, etc. I have the French and Russian 1 & 2 CD-ROMs and will see how they perform in "real life". Here is what hasn't worked yet: 1) Lademanns Multimedia Leksikon 2000 (Danish CD-ROM based encyclopedia ala Encarta). The installer startup is non standard, with a little graphical window. Here is what I still need to try to install: 1) Politikens Store Ordbogs CD-ROM (Danish spell checker and word look-up orthography made in co-operation with the Finnish company that makes Microsoft's spell checking software for them) Works with Word or a s a replacement for the standard spell check. I'll try and keep the list informed of what I find out. Note that very little if any of this software has a direct Linux replacement (although some would say there are programs like JPilot for Palm OS devices ;-) Brian
