Connection to YOU server failed. Try to connect to another SuSE server Hm, how did you set it up? ftp or http? I can't see any form of connection attempt in my logs. Either you misspelled something or you're not getting through the proxy. Note that my server only accepts ftp connections, not http.
As you said I went in to Expert and set settings you said to ... I was quite careful about the spelling :-)
It means that if you've tried connecting to a server and failed, you'll be returned to the setup screen for YOU. If then you try to change some settings and have another attempt it will fail. You have to completely exit the online update module and restart it for any changes to work. At least until the bug is fixed.
I see ... so when I get an error (or even try?0 I must exit the utiluity and go back in to try again? OK ... I tried again with the settings suggested and it failed with the same message (I exited the utility first) . To me this implies that YaST is not making a connection at all hinting that in some way it's not using the proxy setting. Maybe I'm missing some place that everyone else just does or maybe it's desinged primarily with dial up users in mind? James C.
