I did it and got the error message:
Connection to YOU server failed. Try to connect to another SuSE server
Hm, how did you set it up? ftp or http? I can't see any form of connection attempt in my logs. Either you misspelled something or you're not getting through the proxy. Note that my server only accepts ftp connections, not http.
Note that in 8.0 there is a bug in YOU that make changing settings in one session impossible. You have to completely restart the online update module if you want to - say - change the server you're using, or change settings for that server.
Not quite sure what this means ... if I come out of online update it doesn't remember what I was doing before?
It means that if you've tried connecting to a server and failed, you'll be returned to the setup screen for YOU. If then you try to change some settings and have another attempt it will fail. You have to completely exit the online update module and restart it for any changes to work. At least until the bug is fixed. //Anders -- `When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, `it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less.'
