Hi Anders,
If you set your online update to get patches from my server, I might be able to see the error in my logs. Without logfiles these things are very difficult to sort out. Note that I'm not suggesting you should trust me enough to actually install anything from my server. If you ever get that far, just hit abort. This is just to get the log files. If you want me to check it, go to the expert settings and set server ftp.cicada.linux-site.net with directory /pub/ftp.gwdg.de
Be it bad or good I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt so, yeah, I'll trust you :-) I did it and got the error message: Connection to YOU server failed. Try to connect to another SuSE server
Note that in 8.0 there is a bug in YOU that make changing settings in one session impossible. You have to completely restart the online update module if you want to - say - change the server you're using, or change settings for that server.
Not quite sure what this means ... if I come out of online update it doesn't remember what I was doing before? James James C. Rocks Equant Archway House Canary Wharf London E14 9SZ Phone: 0207-5226856 Fax: 0207-5126087 Mobile Phone: 07771-767405 http://www.equant.com
