Yes i know this should be a breeze but for some reason i just can't get it to work. Okay this is the current state of things. There are 2 boxes.
Box 1 runs linux and the printer (Epson Colour) is connected to it. This machine is running CUPS. The printer is 'exported' via Samba for the windows installations.
Make sure you're allowing other machines to connect to the printer and print on it. This isn't as simple as it sounds. :) CUPS may not be configured to "allow" remote printing. SAMBA will work just fine, because the print calls are actually coming from the local machine itself called from the SAMBA server. I'd recommend looking the CUPS configs over and checking the server from the linux client by using nmap to scan what ports are open on the server. CUPS should run on port 631. Hope this helps. Travis.
