I thought I had found the problem as hdb1 is my second drive on which I keep my data, so I edited /dev/hdb1 to /dev/hda1 but still can't get the dual boot to work.
Did you run /sbin/lilo after you edited the config file? No I had not, but then I'm new to linux and did not know about this. But thanks to you I have now managed to get a real dual boot system with LILO and for those who may have been following this thread I needed to make partition 2 active to acheive this. If I make partition 1 active it simply boots windows. Now I have to get wine working. Thanks again Anders Regards Keith Jacobs
