My suggestion would be to get CUPS running and download/install gimp-print alongside it. I don't recall the SDB article, but I remember one that suggested to delete ALL printer-related RPM's (to eliminate conflicts) and re-install the ones needed for CUPS. I'm in the process of setting up a test system today and that's what I'm going to try to solve my CUPS seg-faulting problems -- and to get a native driver for my C60. Wish me luck, and good luck to you as well, -jrh [snip]
Well, this wasn't really one of those e-mails that I can wirte (SOLVED) on ;-) I purchased an Epson Stylus C80. As soon as I saw that baby perform, I knew that I had to have it. While it may be possible that the printer drivers are much better in SuSE 8, I am wondering if there isn't a native driver that can be installed for SuSE 7.3? Isn't there a source package that can be compiled? Many thanks to all on the list for their support and advice so far. Now all I need to do is get this baby working :-) BTW, I am using the parallel connection to my SuSE box.
Cheers,
Brian
